Treble Clef
Main things to note from the video about the treble clef:
1) The Clef tells us what the note names will be for each of the lines and spaces of the staff. Treble Clef is most often used for higher pitched instruments. Keep in mind though, there are other clefs as well.
2) To remember the note names for the 5 lines in the treble clef we use the phrase: Eddies Green Boots Don’t Fit. So the notes on the lines for the treble clef are E, G, B, D, F.
3) Treble Clef notes that are within the spaces of the staff spell FACE.
4) In regards to the pitch of a note it doesn’t matter what the note head looks like. What’s important is where the note head is sitting on the staff in reference to it’s pitch.
5) The musical alphabet uses the notes : A, B, C, D, E ,F, G and then it simply repeats again at a higher or lower pitch
6) Ledger lines are used to extend the staff upwards and downwards in a given staff as notes can go beyond the 5 lines and 4 spaces mentioned in the video.

3) To remember the note names for the 4 spaces in the bass clef we use the phrase: All Cows Eat Grass
4) In regards to the pitch of a note it doesn’t matter what the note head looks like. Whats important is where the note head is sitting on the staff in reference to it’s pitch.
5) The musical alphabet uses the notes : A, B, C, D, E ,F, G and then it simply repeats again at a higher or lower pitch

***At this point you may be asking yourself: “why are they confusing me with more than one staff? Ug, it’s so annoying!!!”. Every musician at one point has probably experienced this frustration. The main reason is to avoid using too many ledger lines as it can become quite challenging to make sense of the notes when there’s too many ledger lines used for a given note.
